10am: The Annaghdown sponsored cycle in aid of the Galway Hospice takes place today, kicking off from Regan’s of Clonboo and finishing tomorrow in Westport.
11am: Relive the magic of original celluloid projections in a fun family event for all ages at the Galway City Museum - with cartoons and silent moves from the 1950’s to the ‘80s. Shows again at 3pm.
11am: If you have always wanted to paint, then an introductory workshop for complete beginners in watercolour painting takes place today at The Three Towers, Slieve Aughty Centre, Kylebrack.
1pm: A film scratching workshop for children takes place at the Galway City Museum, using film scratching and experimental drawings with markers on 8mm film. Age 7-12.
1pm: A marathon 144km Western Lakes and Atlantic Challenge cycle kicks off today in aid of Voices for Down Syndrome Galway, departing from the Knocknacarra/Salthill GAA club. There is also a 45K charity cycle and a fun family 3.5k cycle.8pm: With fans such as Damien Dempsey, Nicola Maguire will entertain upstairs at the Roisin Dubh on Dominick Street.
8pm: It’s the final night for John B Keane’s acclaimed play, The Matchmaker, at the Town Hall Theatre with Mary McEvoy and Jon Kenny.
10pm: Double Meteor award winner, Wallis Bird, will take to the stage at Monroe’s Live with songs from her new, third, album.
