10:30am: The Galway Film Centre at Cluain Mhuire, Monivea Road, presents a two day weekend workshop on Camera in Motion.
11am: An archaeology workshop, all about excavating, takes place at the Galway City Museum with archaeologist, Anne Carey. Age 7+.
2:30pm: Catch a matinee performance of the 9 Arch Claregalway Musical Society’s production of The Wizard of Oz at the Town Hall Theatre. Show time again at 8pm.
7:30pm: International award winning Tumble Circus presents Damn That Circus at the Black Box Theatre. With trapeze, hula-hoops, juggling, acrobatics and silks, Damn the Circus is a tale about making the dream of circus and it's hard annoying reality.
8pm: There Is Bear theatre company presents ‘No Show’ – a comedic farce with big showband numbers at the Mick Lally Theatre, Druid Lane.
8pm: Brendan O’Carrroll’s quirky comedy, ‘The Course, takes place at the TAIBHDHEARC theatre, Middle Street, at 8pm. Presented by the Malthouse Players. English. www.antaibhdhearc.com
8pm: St Patricks Brass Band will ‘Play The Movies’ tonight at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill. This movie themed night will feature a full 30-piece band laying the music and visuals from James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and many more. Come dressed as your favourite movie character and dance the night away with a post performance disco. 9pm: ‘What’s that you say?’ - the fantastic Four Of Us return to Monroe’s Live this evening – expect the greats including Mary, Drag My Bad Name Down, Sunlight and Washington Down.
10pm: Catch Sean Slattery and the Connections upstairs at the Quays Music Hall on Quay Street.
