6pm: NUI Galway is hosting a Mature Students Open Evening in the Aula Maxima, Quadrangle.
7pm: The ad hoc choir begins a new course at the Galway Arts Centre on Dominick Street. This is a Natural Voice gathering; with Kate Duignan. There will be harmony singing, vocal technique and finding out how to free your voice and sing with joy.
8pm: Comedian Neil Delamere is coming to the Town Hall Theatre tonight with his brand new tour, The Fresh Prince of Delamere. He is renowned for his on-stage banter and quick-witted, well-observed yarns.
8pm: Strange Brew presents the Mark Lanegan Band at the Seapoint Ballroom, Salthill. Mark has sung with Screaming Trees, Queens Of The Stone Age, Twilight Singers, Gutter Twins, Soulsavers and Isobel Campbell.
9pm: Lush presents bass house icon DJ Distro at the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square to celebrate their first party. Distro will be joined by other Lush DJs for a night of House, Garage, Dubstep and Funky.
9pm: Doors are open at Monroes Live for Kicking Bird, a four piece acoustic band, with support from the Orchid Collective.
9:30pm: Catch the swingin’ style of the Juke Joint Stomp at McSwiggans bar in Woodquay.
9:30pm: An open traditional Irish music jam takes place every Thursday at the Western Hotel on Prospect Hill.
