He has the best film transfer facility in the country and, while the camera may be retro, the film reel is produced into a high quality digital version for friends and family.
The vintage look and feel of the super 8 film gives a dream like quality to your video, bringing lots of character and style. While the images are crisp and of high resolution, the soft filter is very complementary, bringing a feeling of warmth and nostalgia. The camera does not record sound, and it is this silent film which allows super 8 weddings to really engage with your wedding guests - as it is both intimate and non-invasive. With such an artistic method of videography, it is often used for creative music videos, and Julien also founded the Super8 Shots Film Festival .
Based in Ireland since 2001, Julien is Ireland's leading 8mm film specialist and has devoted his career to super8 filming, working with the likes of RTE and the Irish Film Institute.
