7:30pm: The Galway Astronomy Club presents Dr Ray Butler, Centre for Astronomy, NUI Galway with a talk on ‘Our Dymanic Universe: Giant Aurora, Super Pulses & Flares in Dwarf Stars’ as part of their monthly meeting at the Westwood House Hotel. Non members welcome.
8pm: Show Me The Funny heats continue at the Kings Head in search of the next comedy superstar.
8pm: Theatre club’s award-winning show, Heroin, takes place at the Town Hall Theatre. Heroin is an explosion of the social history of heroin in Ireland over the last forty years.
8:30pm: Little John Nee presents The Galway Years at the Town Hall Studio - featuring stories from Little John Nee’s series of memoir performances and original songs - beginning with a weekend that lasted over twenty years.
9pm: The Cellar bar is host to Play, where musicians can jam with support from a backing band in this open night with a difference. All welcome.
9:30pm: Enjoy the best of swingin’ tunes by the Black Magic Big Band at Busker Brownes on Cross Street.
9:30pm: A traditional Irish music session takes place at the Crane bar on Sea Road for some toe tapping tunes.
