7pm: Máire Ní Mhaoilchiaráin, the newly appointed 2015 Sean-Nós Singer in Residence at NUI Galway, will give a series of sean-nós singing workshops in the seminar room at the Centre for Irish Studies, NUI Galway.
7:30pm: The Irish Chinese Society will host a Chinese New Year Gala 2015 in aid of the Special Olympics at the Salthill hotel - with performances by the Red Poppies Ladies Percussion Group from Beijing and Trad on the Prom.
8:15pm: The Galway Toastmasters Club meets in the Menlo Park Hotel, Headford Road. Guests are always welcome - there is no obligation for you to speak as a guest and meetings are structured but lighthearted.
8:30pm: Enjoy Comedy Cocktails upstairs at Busker Brownes on Cross Street.
8:30pm: A free event takes place at Club Arus na Gael on Dominick Street to help Irish language learners - Oíche na bhfoghlaimeoirí. All levels of fluency catered for.
9pm: FYC will play live at The Quays downstairs, a 5 piece rock, pop, funk, ska, reggae covers band from Galway.
9pm: Citog presents Pockets EP launch of Raison d’être at the Roisin Dubh on Dominick Street.
10pm: A beginners Kizomba class takes place at Monroe’s Live this evening if you want to learn a few new moves, followed by a club afterwards..
10:30pm: Don’t miss the ‘Screamin’ Bluecats’ at Garvey’s in Eyre Square for a night of rockabilly magic. You ‘aint nothin’ but a hound dog!
