9:15am: Astrofest, Galway’s astronomy festival has become Ireland's biggest annual gathering of amateur astronomers and takes place at the Westwood House Hotel. With talks, exhibitions, trade stands, fine food and observing in Connemara under some of the darkest skies in Europe.
10:30am: Dungeons and Donuts Galway have organised Netrunner store championships at their premises at Unit 2, The Bridge Mills, Lower Dominick Street.
11am: Music for All by Music for Galway takes place at the Galway City Museum. The concert features the ConTempo Quartet with harpist-singer Róisín Donohoe and saxophonist Gavin Brennan.
12pm: The National Homebrew Championship, Leg 1, takes place at the Oslo bar in Salthill. Pop in for a pint and watch the proceedings and awards ceremony.
1:30pm: Swing Jam has organised a Balboa dance ‘surprises’ one day workshop for those comfortable with Balboa at the Blue Teapot Theatre, Galway.
7pm: The Mayo Association Galway will host their annual dinner dance at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill with guest of honour James Horan.
8pm: Join Philomena Begley, Louise Morrissey, Brendan Quinn, Barry Devlin and Bitz n Pieces plus Johnny Brady and his band at the Clayton hotel.
8pm: Country music heartthrob Nathan Carter will perform at the Black Box Theatre.
8pm: Decadent Theatre Company presents the Irish Premiere of The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh at the Town Hall Theatre.
9pm: Galway natives, spyFu, will release their debut EP ‘Knights of Tainted Armour’ with support from Rob Wade and dREA at Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street.
