10am: Thinking Through Institutions, an international symposium, takes place today at the Huston School of Film and Digital Media, NUIG. Looking at the institutions of culture and art.
7pm: The Galway Motor Club Awards Night will be held in the Galway Greyhound Track with a three course meal, racing and ceremony.
7:30pm: The Lit n’Deb society at NUIG are holding a 20th anniversary reunion at the College Bar for the record breakers who took part in the world’s longest debate in February 1995.
7:30pm: The Galway Musical Society will hold their special cabaret night at the Clayton Hotel with lots of music and song from the stage and silver screen.
8pm: Enjoy an evening with musician Duke Special who will play at the Roisin Dubh on Dominick Street.
8pm: Decadent Theatre Company presents the Irish Premiere of The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh.
8:30pm: Fregoli Theatre Company presents Mary Mary Mary at the Town Hall Theatre Studio - a delicately woven poetic piece about three generations of Irish women.
9pm: Last year’s Show Me The Funny winner, comedian Steve Bennett, will perform his solo show, Groan Up in preparation for this years’ Edinburgh Fringe run.
11pm: FraGile is a live project from two of Ireland's biggest techno names Fran Hartnett and Giles Armstrong and takes place at The Factory on Eglinton Street.
