12pm: Wild-screen, a weekend of national and international contemporary art film, continues today at the Inagh Valley Hatchery in the Connemara countryside. 12pm: A poetry walk will take place in Spiddal as part of Eigse An Spideal 2015.

1pm: Join guitar maestro Tom Portman at the heart of Lazy Sunday Afternoons at The Twelve, Barna.

2pm: Galway take on Kilkenny in the national hurling league, division 1A, at Pearse Stadium, Rockbarton Road, Salthill.

2pm: An afternoon of music and song takes place at Droighneán Donn, Spiddal, where a traditional music award will be handed out in honour of Tom Pháidín Tom.

8pm: The chatty man, comedian Alan Carr takes his ‘yap, yap, yap’ tour to the Black Box Theatre.

8pm: The Galway Film Society presents Leviathan at the Town Hall Theatre. Winner of the best screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.
