Happy St Patricks’ Day!

10:30am: The St Patricks Day Parade celebrations begin at Eyre Square with local band Rivers and Crow.

11:30am: The St Patricks Day Parade in Galway City begins winding its way through the streets, following the same parade route as last year, beginning at Dominick Street and ending at Prospect Hill. Highlights include Macnas, Galway Community Circus, dancing troupe Bugale An Oriant and boats from Bádóirí an Cladaig Teo. Keep an eye out for the UNESCO City Of Film crew as they record events.

2pm: The St Patricks Day Parade gets underway in Moycullen.

2pm: Seisiún Ceoil Thraidisiúnta na Féile Pádraig takes place at Club Árus na nGael, Dominick Street with another at 10pm.

2pm: A youth party takes place at Temperance Hall, Loughrea.

4:30pm: Cula Bula, Peter Byrne and the Glass Onion Band and White Diamond will kick off celebrations at the Quays music hall, Quay Street, with Pyramid playing live in the bar from 10:30pm.

8pm: A concert with Marcus Ó hIarnáin and Don Stiffe takes place at the Forge, Moycullen.

10pm: Celebrate Paddy’s Day in style at Monroe’s Live with Sligo folk rock band The Quakers.
