8pm: The Galway Film Society presents The Case Against 8 at the Town Hall Theatre. A fly on the wall documentary featuring two gay couples in the epic five-year legal battle that overturned Proposition 8 in California.
8pm: As part of the ‘I Will Arise and Go Now’ Festival, which is taking place in Gort to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of W.B. Yeats, Gort Library is facilitating a special Yeats Commemorative Over The Edge: Open Reading with Susan Lindsay, Christopher Meehan and Marion Cox - who will begin by reading their favourite WB Yeats poem. MC for the event, Kevin Higgins, will also read his favourite Yeats poem.
8:30pm: Enjoy Comedy Cocktails upstairs at Busker Brownes on Cross Street.
8:30pm: A free event takes place at Club Arus na Gael on Dominick Street to help Irish language learners - Oíche na bhfoghlaimeoirí. All levels of fluency catered for.
9pm: FYC will play live at The Quays downstairs, a 5 piece rock, pop, funk, ska, reggae covers band from Galway.
10:30pm: Don’t miss the ‘Screamin’ Bluecats’ at Garvey’s in Eyre Square for a night of rockabilly magic. You ‘aint nothin’ but a hound dog!
