7am: The Portumna Forest Marathon takes place today with a 10k, a full marathon, a half
marathon and two ultrarunning events a 50k and 100k run.
10am: It’s the start of Galway Bike Week with lots on offer across the city and county. Check

11am: An Áit Eile: That's How it Starts takes place at Nuns Island Theatre – a oneday arts,
crafts and music festival to showcase the best in local independent culture. Featuring acts such as
Rivers and Crows, Steven Sharpe, Majestic Bears and Tracy Bruen Music.
2pm: To celebrate Yeats 2015, Galway City Museum presents an afternoon celebrating the writer including a talk by award winning poet and author, Martin Dyar and a workshop by Cúirt Literary Festival Director, Dani Gill. 12+
3pm: The Milltown 10k ‘Run for Ollie’ 2015 takes place today in Milltown, Tuam, Co. Galway.
7:30pm: Monina Paz and Diego Cordoba will hold a Tango Workshop in the Galway Rowing
Club, Woodquay.
8pm: Mary Coughlan returns to the Town Hall Theatre one of Ireland’s finest jazz and blues
vocalists.
8:30pm: Catch Noni Stapleton's ‘Charolais’ at the Áras Éanna Arts Centre on Inis Oirr.
9pm: Mala and FyrMoon will bring their heartfelt all original acoustic Americana from
Switzerland to Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street.
