* The Galway Regatta takes place today at the NUIG grounds at Dangan. Galway’s oldest
rowing regatta, this year it celebrates its 131st anniversary, with many of the top rowing clubs in
Ireland competing.
*The Galway Sessions kicks off today until June 21st, a festival celebrating the best of Irish folk
and traditional music, with events taking place at The Crane Bar, The King's Head, Tigh
Choili’s, Taaffe’s Bar ,The Quays, Tigh Neachtains, and Monroe’s Tavern.
12pm: Head to Busker Brownes on Cross Street for the best jazz brunch in town with the
Galway Bay Jazz Band.
6pm: Wind down the weekend with the Lazy Blues Trio at Seven on Bridge Street.
9pm: Harry Harris and Anna McIvor will be in concert at Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street,
inspired by the likes of Paul Simon and James Taylor, expect great harmonies, captivating songs
and a warm, intimate stage presence.
9pm: You, Me & Clementine, a trio of Jenny, Brian and Charlene will play jazz, folk and blues
at Tigh Neachtains on Cross Street. .
10pm: The Corrib Social Dancing Club organises weekly Sunday night dancing at the Galway
Bay Hotel, Salthill with varied live bands.
