11am: The 6th Galway Garden Festival takes place in Claregalway today in the stunning surrounds of Claregalway castle.

12pm : A guided tour - Highlights of the Galway City Museum takes place at the museum this afternoon. Age 8+.

12pm: A photography workshop takes place at the Brothers of Charity, Kilcornan House, Clarenbridge.

1:30pm: The Baby Noel Heneghan memorial 5k walk, jog or run takes place at Brehon Park, Clonberne in aid of FirstLight, Supporting Suddenly Bereaved Parents and Families.

2:30pm: Galway Tribesmen take on the Treaty City Titans at the Claddagh in the rugby league.

8pm: Katie O'Connor will gig live in the city with support from Cara Kursh at The Secret Garden, 4 William Street West.

8pm: Join Panti Bliss, Ireland’s High Queen, with her High Heels in Low Places tour at the Town Hall Theatre.

8:30pm: A Room With No View takes place at the Town Hall Studio as part of The Colours Fringe Festival - highlighting mental illness in Irish society.

9pm: A 4th of July fancy dress party takes place at Kennedys Bar, Eyre Square.

9pm: Enjoy classic chart hits and current rock/pop from an experienced party band with Domino Effect at Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street.

9pm: Scrobarnach official launch party with Kinetika, Puzzle and Basement Project takes place at the Cellar on Eglinton Street.
